PJ Germain is an award winning Editor, Assistant Editor and Post Producer based in Los Angeles, California. Raised just outside of New York City, PJ developed an affinity for storytelling at a very early age and pursued the filmmaking craft into his undergraduate studies at Hofstra University and graduate studies at the American Film Institute Conservatory.
After moving to Los Angeles in 2008, PJ's post production career started as an on-set Post Production Assistant on Alexandre Aja's PIRANHA 3D. He then moved onto Assistant Editor for the re-release of James Cameron's AVATAR, and the television series' DEADLIEST CATCH and SWORDS by Original Productions.

PJ then moved into the commercial space as an Editor for digital agency SUITE SPOT as well as a Post Producer and Editor for the creative studio LAURELWOOD PICTURES, in which he is a founding member.
As a Post Production professional, PJ also spent much of his career as a Studio Representative and DQC Operator for SGI Hollywood and Deluxe-Technicolor. While there, he was in charge of maintaining the integrity of film prints, DCP's and Localizations being distributed worldwide for Disney, Netflix, Paramount and Warner Bros releases.
After joining the Motion Picture Editor's Guild, PJ became an Assistant Editor on the FX Series KINDRED, by show runner Branden Jacobs Jenkins. He then followed that up with the Academy Award Shortlisted film GO FOR GRANDMA, directed by Sabrina Doyle (LORELEI).
Over his career, PJ has edited numerous music videos, documentaries and films across a broad spectrum of genres and styles. He edited the yet-to-be released film VIOLENT DELIGHTS starring The Florida Project star Bria Vinaite, the short film MINOR KEY directed by MIGHTY DUCKS actor Brady Noon, and was an additional / assistant editor on the Lionsgate feature film, A.R.I. MY ROBOT FRIEND.
In 2024, PJ won two Webby Awards for his work with Cool Beans Comedy, was the VFX Editor for the Universal Pictures release VALIANT ONE, and the Finishing Producer for Paramounts, SPIN THE BOTTLE.
Currently, PJ has finished work on the film WORST THING YOU'VE EVER DONE, which will be released in 2025.
